This cabinet was finished about six months ago. I have been sitting on the pictures wishing I had better photos. Alas here are the pictures I DO have.
This client was in between a reclaimed style and a more polished modern style. I love the danish modern cabinets so the McCobb legs were an easy decision. When I found the two boards that made up the outside of the cabinet, they were a perfect fit. They are walnut with some amazing crotch figure. In order to incorporate the rough look of reclaimed styles but also the polish of a nice new piece, we went with a rough mill for the doors, just slightly sanded and lightly finished, then a perfectly smooth, nicely finished exterior. The cabinet is all solid walnut. Shelves included. Im not talking about the “Solid wood” that actually means plywood. Im talking solid wood that was cut from a tree and then turned into furniture, without being peeled and glued and turned into seven thin layer sheets. Check out the pictures below. If you want a cabinet like this, contact us and we can talk about it. This cabinet ranges between $2000-$2500
